How to Change Domain Nameservers at GoDaddy

We are familiar with the basic process of setting up a custom domain on Blogger. The process of adding a custom domain to Blogger and obtaining CNAME records and A records is similar across different domain registrars, such as GoDaddy, HostGator, Namecheap, and others. The main difference lies in the specific steps for submitting CNAME records and A records on the domain registrar's site. In the previous post, we discussed setting up a custom domain on Blogger using GoDaddy. Now, let's explore setting up a custom domain on Blogger using HostGator.

How to setup a custom domain name On Blogger with Hostgator :

The process of setting up a custom domain on Blogger with HostGator is simple. You need to add the CNAME and A records that you received from Blogger after submitting your domain name to the domain settings on HostGator. The following steps will guide you through the process:-

Follow below steps to a custom domain name on Blogger with Hostgaor:

Step 1 : Go to Blogger settings and click on basics

Step 2 : Click on "Set up a third-party URL for your blog." Add your GoDaddy domain name and click on "Save." After saving, you will receive two CNAME records.

Step 3 :  Log in to your HostGator account and click on "Advanced DNS Zone Editor" under the "Domains" section in your HostGator cPanel.

Step 4 :  Select the domain name and add the CNAME records by selecting "CNAME" from the dropdown box. You will see two CNAME records after submitting your domain to Blogger.

Next, add the following four A records:
              216.239.32.21
              216.239.34.21
              216.239.36.21
              216.239.38.21

After adding the CNAME and A records, don't forget to save the new configuration.

Step 5 :  Now, go to the page where you submitted the domain name on Blogger. Enter the domain name with "www." and select the redirection option. Click on "Save."
